nZEB Roadshow

nZEB Roadshow: local events for the development of professional skills for the construction of near zero-energy buildings

The main goal of the nZEB Roadshow project is to stimulate the demand for skilled construction workers and specialists for the construction of near zero-energy buildings (nZEB). The project relies on a completely new approach to the promotion of training related to nZEB, relying not only on the provision of quality educational and training services, but also on strengthening the market demand for buildings with optimal energy performance. To achieve this, the topic of nZEB- both in the construction of new buildings and in building renovations - will be at the center of public attention through large-scale local events in order to significantly increase public interest and improve understanding of the benefits of energy efficiency from both citizens and investors.

Pursuing its mission, the nZEB Roadshow project will organize information campaigns in 5 European countries related to the so-called nZEB Days, organized in 3 to 5 selected cities in each participating country - Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Romania and Croatia. The nZEB days will include a variety of events with the potential to attract the interest of both construction professionals and citizens: presentation of mobile demonstration models and innovative technologies, construction and installation of building components in real time, training courses for designers and construction workers, demonstrations of VR and AR applications, on-site training in municipal renovation projects, organization of career guidance centers with a focus on local SMEs, information sessions and free consultations for citizens, demonstrations of innovative products in construction hypermarkets, games for the young and elderly. In addition, conferences, workshops and training events are planned for representatives of local and national authorities and civil society on policies and financial schemes that promote the integration of skilled labor requirements into public procurement.

The nZEB Roadshow project is implemented under a grant agreement № 892378 under the EU Horizon 2020 program, coordinated by the Energy Efficiency Center EnEffect. More information can be found at www.nzebroadshow.eu, as well as on the project's Facebook and Twitter pages.
