On November 27, 2025, the Grand Hotel Sofia will host the 19th conference of the Association of Bulgarian Energy Agencies (ABEA), in partnership with the National Trust EcoFund (NTEF), under the slogan "Cities in Transformation: Strategic Vision, Building Renovation Solutions, Energy Communities, and New Skills."

The forum brings together representatives of institutions, municipalities, financial organizations, businesses, and the civil sector to discuss effective approaches for implementing national and European policies that promote sustainable local energy development. Highlights include presentations of the climate plans of Sofia and Gabrovo, discussions on financial mechanisms for municipal projects, practical examples of energy communities in Bulgaria, as well as initiatives for training specialists and developing new professional skills.

The conference will provide a platform for discussing specific project ideas between operators of financial instruments in the field of sustainable energy and those who implement them at local level, while also building on knowledge and skills in areas of activity of key importance of the daily work of Bulgarian municipalities.
