Technical assistance for renovation projects for municipalities up to 100 thousand people

Municipalities with up to 100 thousand inhabitants in the country will be able to apply for technical assistance for the transformation of existing infrastructure or public spaces. Transformation projects will be supported under the New European Bauhaus Local Initiatives. Municipalities, cities, regions, as well as agglomerations or groups of municipalities and functional areas (including cross-border areas) can apply with developed project ideas until 23 May this year. Twenty proposals will be selected and developed by experts into viable projects ready to apply for European or national funding.

The project ideas should incorporate the three core values of the New European Bauhaus - sustainability, aesthetics and inclusiveness. They will have to contribute to at least one of the four areas of action: renovation of existing buildings and public spaces, introduction of circular economy and carbon neutrality, conservation and transformation of cultural heritage sites, adaptation and transformation of residential buildings or regeneration of urban or rural spaces.

Participants have to submit an online application form in English.

Guidelines for applicants can be found here.

The new European Bauhaus aims to turn the European Green Deal into a cultural, people-oriented, positive and tangible experience for all, promoting the transformation and adaptation of cities across Europe through beautiful, sustainable and inclusive places.
