ENERGY EFFICIENCY POLICIES FOR BUILDINGS: IN SEARCH OF SUSTAINABILITY, QUALITY AND PREDICTABILITY

On 13 November, Sofia will host the next national roundtable on financing energy efficiency investments, which will also mark the start of the fifth National Renovation Day, where leading local and international experts will present current programmes and policies for the renovation of the building stock. European targets and challenges in decarbonisation will be discussed, with examples of successful practices from Europe and from Bulgarian municipalities. This will be followed by discussions on innovative financing models for energy efficient renovation, with representatives from the World Bank, Renovate Europe, EPBD.wise, Fund of Funds and others.

The event will also open the XVIII National Conference of the Association of Bulgarian Energy Agencies, with the second day, on 14 November, focusing on educational projects and trainings on clean energy transition,  energy poverty alleviation, energy communities and integrated service centres. The conference will conclude with a discussion and presentation of future initiatives for sustainable development in the energy sector.

The event is organised by EnEffect, Municipal Network for Energy Efficiency EcoEnergy, in cooperation with the Renovate Bulgaria Coalition and the Association of Bulgarian Energy Agencies.
