GUIDELINES AND TOOLS FOR THE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS DIRECTIVE
Zero-emission buildings are no longer a vision of the future - they are a political decision embedded in European legislation. With the changes adopted in 2024 to the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, every Member State is required to introduce a new standard for zero-emission buildings, update the energy certification system, and prepare its administrative and professional capacity. The clock is ticking, and the pressing question is - How will we meet our commitments, and who will lead the process?
On October 1st in Sofia, a working discussion will bring together all key stakeholders in the process - from policymakers to practitioners. The focus will be on the real challenges and needs arising from the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
The event is organized by EnEffect, BACIW, and Renovate Bulgaria, and will feature expert-led discussion panels and real-world case studies. It will also present guidance from international initiatives such as EPBD.wise, StreamSAVE+, and REDESIGN, which are developing innovative tools to support public administrations and businesses in the transition toward applying the new building standards.
