SMAFIN Expanded: Connecting smart financing with energy efficient projects

SMAFIN Expanded LIFE project supports smart financing implementation of energy efficiency investments by planning to organize 15 national roundtables, 30 working group meetings, 2 cross country labs and various thematic working groups in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania and Slovenia.

SMAFIN Expanded focuses on private and public buildings, tertiary sector and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), aiming to gather stakeholders from government bodies, local and regional authorities, the financial sector, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), homeowners, the industry and construction sectors, and SMEs.

Building on the experience gained from the previous initiative for financing energy efficiency and RES projects – SMAFIN, the project will offer solutions to the main challenges faced by the energy sector in recent years. International events are planned to facilitate experience exchange and the introduction of European practices in both EU and non-EU countries, contributing to strengthened cooperation in the Balkans and the advancement of the energy transition.

The project is coordinated by CRES (Greece), with EnEffect Consult Ltd. as the Bulgarian partner.
